On Tuesday, I got the Golf Invitational materials ready for Monday. Also, I wrote the content for a newsletter that we will be sending out in August/September and called various companies to get the names of the players that will be participating in the Golf Invitational.

On Wednesday, I finished designing the Golf Invitational sponsor and raffle list using InDesign. Also, I wrote an article on the All Sport's web site to inform the public that they can become an All Sports member by applying online.

On Thursday, I helped get our intern wall ready by using InDesign to format the photos and labels for each intern.

This week I assigned hole signs for our sponsors who donated money for our ESPN Golf Invitational. I also helped my supervisor change the format for our potential intern interview questions. I made some changes to the questions and added primary and secondary questions. Also, I researched annual events in Oklahoma City as well as children's hospitals to give to the NCAA to help them with their marking plans for the next three years. As well as researching events and hospitals, I researched demographics from this year's Women's College World Series. I found the number of people who purchased tickets from each state and found the percentage from the entire population.

This week at All Sports I mailed invoices to Board Members, participated in a staff meeting to talk about the company timeline that we have lined up and I researched and brainstormed ideas for the 2010 All-College prizes and giveaways. I also wrote the 2010 Big 12 Softball Championship and Women's College World Series sections for the Summer 2010 All Sports newsletter. I enjoyed working on the newsletter because I had some prior experience writing a newsletter and this assignment gave me practice to strengthen my writing skills. Sitting in on the staff meeting was wonderful experience that I got to participate in and researching giveways for the All-College was good practice for researching my target audience.

This week, I worked a lot on the Summer Sooner Sports Games and ESPN Golf Invitational Tournament. I also participated in two staff meetings and worked on marketing for All Sports.

On Tuesday, I learned how to make a company deposit and typed up the staff notes from Monday's meeting. I also put labels on the membership letters and mailed them. Finally, I sat in on the weekly staff meeting. I enjoyed learning how to make the deposit because it is something I will need to know how to do in my future jobs.

On Wednesday, I entered the data for the individuals who will be participating in Judo during the Sooner Sports Games. Also, we had an extensive staff meeting where we brainstormed ideas about marketing All Sports for the fall. This meeting was a great experience because I got to put my public relations skills at work. I had to keep in mind our objectives as well as figuring out the best way of reaching our target audience.

On Thursday, I mailed golf invitations to All Sports Board Members. I also designed the 2010 All Sports Golf Invitational Raffle Prizes board using InDesign. I enjoyed this task because I already knew how to use InDesign and therefore got to practice my designing skills.

On Tuesday, I used InDesign to design a layout plan for the intern office room. The All Sports staff is planning on painting the room and I was assigned to make the floor plan using InDesign. This task was enjoyable because I am already familiar with the program and I liked practicing my skills. After creating the floor plan I made more phone calls to All Sports VIP members to get their updated information for our membership system.

On Wednesday, I wrote the 2010 ESPN Golf Invitational Letter that was mailed to all of the All Sports VIP members. I was pleased to receive this task because it allowed me to sharpen my writing skills and it gave me the opportunity to write an invitational letter. After completing the letter, I learned how to mail merge the letters using Word.

On Thursday, I got the t-shirts and medals ready for the Billiards games that will take place during the Summer Sooner Sports Games. Also, I mailed medals to participants who had won during the archery games.

This week I did a lot of work for the 2010 ESPN Golf Invitational that will take place on August 9 and the Summer Sports Games. On Tuesday, I gathered t-shirts and medals for the Summer Sports Games that included track and field, archery and BMX.

On Wednesday, I wrote the EPSN Gold Invitational letter that will be mailed to all of the Board members and players. I enjoyed completing this task because I got the opportunity to write the letter and practice my writing skills. I also entered the VIP Board member's information into an Excel spread sheet so that I know where to send the Golf Invitational letters.

On Thursday, I called more Board members to keep our All Sports records updated. I made sure that we had every person's correct address and I asked for their e-mail addresses so that I can send them quarterly electronic newsletters. This task strengthened my communication skills, which is an important skill to practice.
